Looking Back at 2002 - Topaz Takes Shape
It's been a little more than six months since the public launch of Topaz Partners, and we're ending 2002 on an upbeat note. Although economic challenges continue, particularly in the tech sector, Topaz has made steady progress in its first year. We've put together this first update to share with you the latest news from our agency. In the year ahead, we'll be back in touch with a "new and improved" Topaz newsletter. Let us know what you think!

The news about Topaz continues to spread. We've been written up in a variety of publications -- from PR Week to the Boston Business Journal -- and based on the feedback we've received from prospects and clients, the Topaz story is winning more and more converts. We hope you agree that Topaz represents a new breed of PR firm -- senior communications professionals doing hands-on work at a fraction of the cost of larger firms.

In recent months, we've taken on a range of new client assignments, added new staff and, just recently, expanded into new office space at our headquarters just outside of Boston. Our client work has ranged from strategic media relations campaigns and Web site design to speechwriting and corporate and product publicity. We've bolstered our team of senior PR professionals with a number of new faces, and as we end the year, "Team Topaz" numbers more than a dozen full and part-time staff.

Now, as we near the end of 2002, the year we started this venture, it seems fitting not only to reflect on our progress, but to thank those who were responsible for our success -- the team we have with us today, and those who worked with us since last fall to help us get our start, the friends who have offered advice, direction and support, and the clients who have partnered with us. Thanks to all of you. Because of your support and encouragement, we can look forward to an even more successful 2003. Thanks again and happy holidays.
