Social Media Campaign Launched by Black Duck Software and Topaz Earns Honors from Society for New Communications Research
 

WOBURN, Mass. – November 30, 2009 –  A social media campaign launched by Black Duck Software (www.blackducksoftware.com) and Topaz Partners (www.topazpartners.com) has received one of the top honors from the 2009 Society of New Communications Research (www.sncr.org).

The integrated social media program Topaz developed and launched with Black Duck Software was awarded a 2009 Commendation of Excellence in the “Influencer Relations” category at the Society’s Awards Gala at the Harvard Faculty Club in Cambridge, Mass. on November 6. This was the second SNCR award for Topaz, which also earned a 2007 Award of Excellence with Scuderi Group in the category of “Integrated Social Media Program.” The Society honors innovative organizations that are pioneering the use of social media, ICT, mobile media, online communities, and collaborative technologies in the areas of media, marketing, public relations, advertising, entertainment, education, politics, and social initiatives.

As a result of this campaign, Topaz was able to expand and reinforce Black Duck’s reputation as a leading innovator, authority, and thought leader on issues pertaining to open source and mixed-source software.
